MF79 Indicating Controller
Mechanical Controllers
  • A compact, single switch, indicating temperature controller providing on-off control for heating or cooling applications.
  • Twelve operating ranges covering -30ºF to 1100ºF.
  • Can be panel or surface mounted.

Overview / Design Principle:

A compact electrical, single switch indicating temperature controller designed to operate fuel valves or relays which start and stop heating or cooling systems. This unit is UL and CSA listed. Flush or wall mount, three-wire control circuit and twelve operating ranges within -30ºF to 1100ºF.

Operation:

A single snap-acting switch is positioned at the control point by turning the setting knob on the front of the instrument. Set point is shown by the red pointer on the dial.

The switch is operated by a black indicating pointer which moves up or down scale in response to the expansion or contraction of the thermal element. When the indicating pointer moves in line with the red set pointer, the snap-acting switch opens or closes the circuit controlling the heating or cooling input to the appliance.
