The microprocessor instrument 2351 is a versatile counter/totaliser with a 6-digit display (10mm high) that is configured using the 6 faceplate keys.
The main input accepts mono-directional and bi-directional encoders with a maximum frequency of 100kHz.
The dimensions are 96x48mm, with a behind panel depth of 159 mm.
There are four other digital inputs (4kV isolation) for mechanical contacts or 3-wire NPN or 12V open collector proximity switches with a maximum frequency of 250Hz.
The instrument has two counters. The first is dedicated to the encoder input, with or without zero, at high frequency (max. 100kHz), and functions as a pulse totaliser. The second counter operates as an event counter, from internal threshold or low frequency digital input (max. 250 Hz).
A typical application is the control of the measurement for cutting machines with piece counter incorporated.
The four digital inputs, configured using the keypad, can have the functions of low frequency counter, freeze count, reset totaliser, select absolute or relative count.
There are four trip points that can be freely used for the different counts, incremental, absolute, piece count.
There are four outputs, relay or logic, that can be associated to the trip points with direct or inverse mode.
The numeric representation (from -199999 to 999999) can be the result of a mathematical calculation or scaling in order to display the number in engineering units, for example to convert mm into inches.
Four LED's on the faceplate can be configured to indicate the states of the inputs or of the outputs and one of the available keys (RST) is configurable such that it can perform the same function as a digital input.
Serial communications are available in Current Loop or RS232 or RS485 to connect the 2351 in a distributed logic system. |
